I wouldn’t say that I watch a lot of television. In fact, I probably watch considerably less than the average person. However, I am not totally immune to the “TV Bug”. As with anybody else I do have a few shows that I enjoy watching on the proverbial tube. Although, with satellite TV frin expert satellite and a wide screen LCD television pumping in plenty of crystal clear HD programming, the word tube is completely obsolete these days. One of the shows I truly enjoy watching in HD, brought to me by my before mentioned satellite, is NOVA. Now, not all of the episodes on NOVA take full advantage of high definition but there are the occasional few that wouldn’t be the same without it. I am specifically talking about any episode dealing with outer space, deep-sea life, volcanoes, and any number of other visually stunning topics. I realized what I had been missing while watching an episode dealing with bioluminescent life forms deep in the oceans. The colors were so vibrant and bright that it truly felt like I was right behind the camera. I know that sounds rather cliche but it’s true. Since then, NOVA has consistently been at the top of my list of shows not to miss. The episodes that do take full advantage of high definition programming are the perfect way for me to see amazing things that would otherwise be too expensive and typically too dangerous to see in person.Thanks for the post from Nora Mccoy
